The landscapes I am drawn to normally have a subject in the foreground, sometimes faintly comical like the �Keep Out� notice, or solemn and profound, like the headstones in the old cemeteries.

The other common factor in all of these shots is the absence of people.

Even at the height of the summer season in West Cork, it is still possible to find open space and peace and tranquility.
